Background

Monica is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Bradford exploring the barriers to child adoption amongst the South Asian community. Monica has recently joined the Yorkshire and Humber PSRC as a Safety Equity Fellow for a 3-month placement within the “Decluttering (safely) for safety theme.

Monica works on research particularly around the South Asian community. She was awarded her Master’s in Psychology at Coventry University. Monica started her academic career at Coventry University as an Academic marking assistant. Monica is now working at the University of Bradford, where she teaches on the Social Psychology module.

Research Interests

Monica is particularly interested in research around the South Asian community. She is also looking at research around health inequalities within the UK.
