Lay Leader
Background
Jan was born in Bradford and lives in the Bradford District. Jan loves the wonderful cultural diversity and vibrancy of the city. She worked in several Bradford schools for many years in finance management. Jan worked at the University of Bradford University as a research administrator for 5 years up until her retirement.
Jan is a strong advocate for PPIE in research and believes the relationships between researchers and those with lived experience are vital in developing strong research which the public can relate to and that benefits patients.
Her PPIE work spans across the NHS and voluntary sector and now as a Lay Leader; Jan is excited to get involved in the work of the centre and with local communities.
Jan enjoys the outdoors especially walking and cycling and spending time with her large family.
