Giorgia is a research fellow on a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded project, called RESI-Med; enhancing medicines management resilience in home-dwelling older people living with frailty. Giorgia joined the Yorkshire Quality and Safety Research group in 2021. As part of RESI-Med, Giorgia is working with patients and healthcare staff to co-design an intervention aimed at making medicines management safer for older people.
Between 2018 and 2021 Giorgia worked at the Centre for Applied Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford.
In 2020 Giorgia took part in a study, led by Dr Andrea Capstick, exploring the experience of care home staff caring for people living with dementia during the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic. The results were published in August 2022 and formed the basis of a stage play, Voices from the Frontline.
