Background

Baasimah is a PhD researcher at the University of Bradford investigating the development of myopia across West Yorkshire. She is also a member of the Brad-ATTAIN Inter-Institutional board which has the aims of tackling inequalities in accessing higher education for BAME groups.

Research interests

Baasimah has an interest in understanding the safety of novel treatments, for example, red light therapy for myopia management. Additionally, she is interested in understanding the barriers in healthcare resulting in health inequality. She would like to work with communities and organisations to take a holistic approach in tacking health inequality.
