Amrit has a background in Health Psychology and has been involved in various healthcare/services projects since graduating with her PhD (encouraging the uptake a of healthy behaviours among young South Asian people) from the University of Leeds in 2012. Amrit is particularly interested in health inequalities and conducting research with seldom heard groups. Amrit is an experienced mixed-methods researcher.
Amrit works with the Safe Use of Medicines team at the University of Bradford. Amrit works on DEPPLOY in the Safe Use of Medicines theme – an intervention to safely deprescribe (stop or taper) medicines in older adults with frailty, working closely with those who prescribe and review medicines and patients.
